Chest Pec Deck Machine Flye

The Chest Pec Deck Machine is a common piece of equipment in gyms and home gyms.  Here’s how to use it correctly!

Pec Deck Do’s:

  • Push from the chest/armpit area
  • Keep your hands loose and push the pad from the elbows
  • Focus on controlled motion
  • Inhale as you stretch backward
  • Exhale on the exertion (forward motion)
  • Keep shoulders back and down

Pec Deck Don’ts:

  • Don’t pull with your hands
  • Don’t arch your back
  • Don’t use a weight you can’t control
  • Don’t round your back
  • Don’t use your shoulders
